A group of three Indian elephants ( Elephas maximus indicus) with a cub feeds on grass in a South Indian forest, in the rain. The elephants are in a grassy area with sparsely spaced trees. They tweak the grass with their long trunks and put it in their mouth. The elephant next to the cub raises her trunk.
