What a fabulous privilege to see this rare animal stalking in the high Himalaya, in seclusion and in its prime habitat along the cliff-face of a steep high altitude Himalayan mountainside. The Snow Leopard had made a kill of a Blue Sheep or Bharal and hidden the body next to a fast waterfall where no vultures or other scavengers will easily see or smell it out. In the early morning hours, she carefully traverses the ridge over to the hidden waterfall. She is careful to not dislodge any stones as she neither wants to have a slip and a fall or to disturb the immediate neighbourhood, as that would let out a hint that she has a hidden kill, thus alerting potential scavengers or down-stream predators!
