A viewer tells us this could be a Cephonodes hylas (Sphingidae) or something very similar. We found this Hawk moth out one night after a heavy shower of monsoon rain, in New Delhi. Viewer MothBreeder suggests that this is a Broad bordered bee Hawk moth.
