The toll plaza would act as a check against the morning and evening traffic rush. But with the toll plaza gone, commuters are reaching the Udyog Vihar intersection in a bulk, leading to severe traffic snarls. The toll plaza at Sirhaul on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway is gone, but it has left behind a traffic nightmare. And while Gurgaon is facing the major brunt of the ensuing traffic situation, its cascading effect is being felt on Delhi roads. For Gurgaon, the situation is much worse because the spillover is now on the arterial roads, especially those which enter the cyber city following the U-turns at the end of the Udyog Vihar and Rajokri flyovers.
