Traffic slows down to less than a crawl. In fact, there's a gridlock on the Gurgaon-Delhi NH8 highway. Why? Because the greedy toll plaza operator has just to few lanes to handle the high volume of traffic and wants to collect a high toll for a short little run into Delhi city. The result? Traffic gets choked on multiple lanes, engines idle and carbon gets generated aplenty while fossil fuels burn to no avail. End of the day? The toll plaza is dismantled and traffic allowed to run free, after the toll operator's license is taken away! Things do end up being rational in India, on the rare occasion!
