A rather remarkable and fortunate career in living life fully. As Lord Reith would have said (BBC 1935), ‘How can you live life fully stretched?’ I didn’t try, it just happened, because some of us are very fortunate to have been born before Independence, and we have had access to good school teachers, good schools. That is the generation which is keeping India going at the moment. Fortunately, now something is happening (again). There are good schools once more, we are getting great people who are doing wonderful things. Without the help of Modern School, the Doon School, Dehra Dun, and the Lawrence School, Sanawar. We thought you couldn’t have any kind of civilization without these great schools. I didn’t mention Mayo, because there are so many good schools. But what is happening now (and
