Apple packers pack American Trel variety apples in wooden crates in an orchard in Gulab Bagh area of Ganderbal district near Srinagar in Kashmir. American Trel variety of apples is one of the best variety of apples found in India which is sweet in taste, crispy and juicy. Kashmir is the biggest contributor to India's apple produce, contributing more than 70% of the total (according MOSPI and data.gov.in). After apple production and more than it the transportation having suffered due to the floods of 2014, the apple production and transportation rebounded in 2015.
