A kid pumps water from a hand pump in Pathri village in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. A man drops his children to school. These people have been rehabilitated from forest land that has been used to create Rajaji National Park in north India. One of the largest relocation projects to make way for wildlife habitats, this is a landmark success for Indian conservation. A local person, Mohammad Alam speaks about the problem he faces while living in the forests of Ranipur, he says, "I want to leave the forest only if the government allot us the two acres land for agriculture which the government had promised. My family has been facing the problem in the forest from ages but it is good that we have a school in our village. Pathari Forest Range is a large village located in Haridwar of Haridwa
