The scene highlights the severe environmental challenges caused by rapid urbanization, unmanaged waste disposal, and untreated sewage entering the city’s waterways. Dark stagnant wastewater moves through the open concrete drain while enormous quantities of plastic bottles, bags, and household garbage accumulate along the banks and float across the surface. During periods of heavy rainfall, such waste buildup can obstruct water flow and contribute to flooding in nearby residential neighborhoods including Maharani Bagh.
