As the Jammu and Kashmir assembly debated the autonomy committee report seeking restoration to a pre-1952 status the national conference government led by Farooq Abdullah and the opposition BJP were lopped in a war of words. With the national conference, the Jammu and Kashmir house deferred the crucial vote while the Hurriyat denounced autonomy. A BJP politician speaks about autonomy.
