Omar Abdulla says "Ladies and gentlemen, it is not very often these days that I get invited to talk in front of such a distinguished audience. In fact, I can't remember the last time since I left government, that I have had an audience as distinguished as this and an opportunity to address. I am usually very nervous when I get up to talk about Jammu and Kashmir. For a number of reasons, I look forward to talking about a subject that is dearest to my heart. I prepare for it, I sit down a few days before and write down my thoughts. Then when I stand up on the stage I realise that this is not a subject that I can be dispassionate about."
