Restoration of pre 1953 status would reverse the natural process of harmonising the aspiration of Jammu and Kashmir. L. K. Advani speaks about Jammu and Kashmir assembly on the report of the state autonomy committee. He says, "National integration and devolution of powers to states must go together the cabinet therefore decided not to accept the resolution past by the Jammu and Kashmir assembly on the report of the state autonomy committee" Since 1953 by virtue of article 370, 42 orders were passed empowering the President of India to extend the provisions of the Constitution of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
