As the leaders of various political parties entered the August premises of Parliament last week there many who believed that the ongoing winter session of Parliament would serve them more opportunity to do more electoral posturing. This being one of the last sessions before the country goes to the polls in the next general elections. But, contrary to this belief recession took off on a rather somber note as most of the political outfits were busy working out strategies to enhance their future electoral prospects.
