Greater Kailash 1 was developed in the 1960s by DLF Limited when Delhi Government allowed private developers to build colonies, and is today one of the more affluent neighborhoods in the city. The markets in M and N Block are some of the most popular markets in Delhi, home to a wide range of retail stores, such as Giovanni, Next, Puma, Nike, Adidas and Lacoste, and several restaurants and coffee houses. The N-Block market is the location of Fabindia's first retail store, and many eating houses.
