Darshan Singh speaking at the inauguration program of Mohini Grameen Vikas Kendra in Rajasthan. Mr. Darshan Singh is a businessman and philanthropist who lives in Delhi. His father was born in this village close to Bharatpur, but his family moved to Delhi before he was born. Today the family is based in Delhi. Darshan has since attempted to reconnect with his roots in the village by revisiting his family's home and buying a plot of just outside the village. In association with an American NGO, READ (http://www.readglobal.org/our-work/read-india), Darshan took one of these plots of land, just a short walk from the edge of town, and built a new primary school there for village youngsters.
