300 years ago an Englishman discovered the village of Sutanuti on the banks of the river Hooghly and found and found it an ideal location to expand the trade and commerce for his English masters since that over cast day in 1691 the city which Job Charnock founded has grown into one of the most exciting metropolises in India.
