OK, this lifter is transferring plastic waste and garbage onto a truck, but what is the garbage doing out being collected in the open, in the first place, that too during the monsoon months? This leads to leaching of chemicals and metals, thus polluting ground water. Waste management is one of India's greatest challenges and opportunities in the years ahead, along with water management!
