Take an aerial through the heartland of Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian tricolour flutters ahigh at Madhuri Lake, a high altitude Himalayan tarn so named for the Indian Bollywood actress Madhuri Dikshit / Dixit who shot a scene here for a Hindi movie. Apart from that tenuous connection, this is beautiful high altitude countryside at its best, with the limit of the tree line stretching to the lake here, surrounded as it is with Rhododendron shrubbery, a grassland meadow along the wetland, and wild Himalayn mountains throughout, stretching up to Bum La, the actual border between India and Tibet (as controlled by the Chinese).
