Early winter season wheat crop in Meerut in a very green state, well before the summer heat lends the plants its brownish warm tones... Wheat is a dominant crop and worldwide staple food cereal, it has a grass-like structure and its seedhead tossing towards the blue skies. Uttar Pradesh is the largest wheat producing state in India (26874 thousand tonnes). Wheat is a rabi crop. The Rabi cropping season is from October-March (winter). These green fields are looking very beautiful and it seems like they are dancing with the cold breeze. These fields are widely spread all over Uttar Pradesh as you can see the horizon.
