The old world town of the Mutiny of 1857 melds perfectly into the urban conglomerate of 2020, and one of Uttar Pradesh's prime cities and one of India's fastest growing residential and manufacturing bases. There is a strange sense of order in this image of urban congestion and crowding in Meerut city in Uttar Pradesh state. The rows and rows of colourful houses and roof-tops belies the urban atrophy and crowding at the local street and lane level... Who would have thought Meerut was such a green and smart looking city, at least when seen from the air? The massive bus stand looks efficient and spacious for so many buses, as well. The roof-tops are colourful, there's a green grassy park and much colour all around, with a dark monsoon cloudy sky reflecting the light beautifully onto the groun
