Pickerel Rush or Pickerel Hyacinth in purple blooms at the pond in Wilderness Orchard in Delhi. This is filmed in late monsoon. The leaves of the bog plant seems to have faded to brownish with lesser blooms. The Pickerel Rush is a native from America and is considered as an invasive species in ponds but in India this plant is grown as an ornamental plant in gardens.
