Most of us are not aware of the rag pickers' contribution in keeping our cities clean and free of unwanted trash and rubbish. We forget we are contributing in disposal of thousands of thrash and plastic items every day and we forget about if once we dump it in our garbage bags. We may be under lockdown but we still have not stopped generating waste. But these rag pickers who are not formally employed pick and sort the trash from degradable and the recyclable ones. They take the recyclable ones and sell it to recycling plants and make a living out of it. This is filmed in Delhi during the Corona Lockdown in New Delhi at one of the dust bin locations of SDMC.
