Water droplets retained by moss and lichens drip-drop down in the middle Himalaya, as the monsoon rains cease for a short while. A Toon tree (Cidrella serrata) is home to tens of varieties of this monsoon bounty, including a creeper that spreads widely with its shiny green leaves. See a wild species of Begonia (dioica or picta?) growing in the Uttarakhand Himalaya, on a hillside's rocky bank. The rough bark of the Toon is the ideal breeding ground for ferns and mosses.
