Phalaenopsis or Phaius tankervilleae (Nun's Orchid )is an orchid easily grown which needs little attention and is a common ornamental plant for decorators and Orchid enthusiasts. Watch the orchids in different colour combinations at our Wilderness Orchard. Close up of the different colours of the orchids. This will be harvested and used as a decorative item inside houses. This magnificent species is a very wide spread terrestrial, being found along the eastern seaboard of Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Indo-China, Thailand and on into Northern India. The plant is a large one, with stout fleshy pseudobulbs, and several large pleated leaves.
