In a video interview, Prem Chand Kesarvani says: “My name is Prem Chand Kesarvani, and I am a resident of this city. What you are seeing today has expanded tremendously—it has become very grand and massive. There was a time when there was no electricity here; gas lamps were used, and processions (chowkis) used to move on bullock carts. Today, in this modern electronic era, events like Ramleela and the decorative processions have advanced significantly with the help of technology. Massive and grand gates (entrances) are now being constructed, with lakhs of rupees spent on them. For example, a cutout of Lord Hanuman has been built as high as 350 feet.
