Raja Maheshwar Singh talks about the history of Kullu Dussehra and how it is celebrated differently in Kullu town. He says: Kullu Dussehra is well known all over the world for rich traditions which the people has preserved even in the present times. The Dussehra festival which you see in Kullu is quite different to how it is celebrated in India. The main difference is the first day of the festival is the last day of the festival all over the country. The reason is because it is our belief that the Vijayadashami day is the day when Shree Ram Chandra and his brother Laxman invaded Lanka and Ravana was killed on the full moon day and on the Vijayadashami day there is no full moon. Second differences is the participation of gods and goddess: He says, 'We don't stay at home, I go and stay in
