We found this python near the Chhatarpur road, in the midst of a lot of busy traffic and pedestrian footfalls, in September 2019, in the latter half of the monsoon season. It was busily trying to take in a Five-striped Palm Squirrel, without much luck, though, as a passing pedestrian frightened off the poor Python which escaped into its hole in the ground. Truly a constrictor this python - see how it squeezes to be able to take in the squirrel into its mouth and belly! This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of HD imagery from South Asia.
