A herd of Asiatic elephants (Elephas maximus indicus) crosses between paddy fields in a village in Odisha. Elephants with tuskers are also seen in the herd. Elephants are the largest terrestrial mammals and are endangered in the wild. Loss of habitat due to human activities has led to a number of human-animal conflicts in recent years.
