It would indeed be sad if New Delhi is still burning coal to generate power! We thought the Indraprastha Power plant was not defunct! Where is this coal heading to and where and for what will it be used? This is of grave consequence for the air quality of north India! Who will answer this question for us? What are those covered rakes carrying? Who is mining this coal, and on the basis of what license? Is this even authorized for carriage in such an open fashion? We bring train and truck loads of coal into Delhi, burn it for power and industry, and then complain when air pollution rankings place Delhi as the Number One Most Polluted City in the world. But we will NOT stop coal from coming in - we will start Odd-even for our cars on the roads as THAT will solve the problem! It is truly a pit
