Bucolic Arunachal Pradesh along the banks of the Siang river in India's north-eastern most state. The Brahmaputra is the more common name of the Siang once it enters the plains in Assam. Here the river receives fresh blue forest waters from little streams as it flows down after the monsoon months, slate-grey in colour and full of silt from the Tibetan plateau. The hanging bridge of Boleng seems like a thin ribbon far below as we fly high above the rain forest and agricultural fields of the fertile river belt.
