Tehri Dam Construction in Uttaranchal or as it is now called Uttarakhand. Old Tehri town was submerged in the process, leaving behind a ghost town. The old clock tower stands in mute testimony to the changing times... The Tehri dam is located along the Bhagirathi Ganga / Ganges, in Uttarakhand, India. It was the subject of much environmental activism prior to completion, but is now providing some power and water to New Delhi and other cities in north India. This clip shows the submerged Tehri town which was preceded by the displacement of the town's population.
