The Tehri dam is located along the Bhagirathi Ganga / Ganges, in Uttarakhand, India. It was the subject of much environmental activism prior to completion, but is now providing some power and water to New Delhi and other cities in north India. This clip shows the submerged Tehri town which was preceded by the displacement of the town's population. This footage is part of the broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest HD and 4K collection from South Asia.
