Even deadly killers such as these mongoose (surely not mongeese as plural!?)have ecto-parasites and need to scratch the botheration, they get disturbed by mosquitoes and their pups play-fight together under the jasmine bush which hides their lair! This neola is just pretending innocence and sun bathing in the now bright post monsoon sun, but in reality it is plotting an attack on the chickens. As this mongoose pup stands on sharp rocks near her den, she lifts her tail high to show her anus, and this scrapes her anus on the rock below. Maybe she has worms or is having a hard time today...?
