One of the most common air breathing land snails is the Macrochlamys indica that is found in terrestrial gardens and agricultural fields. Shiny and thin shell with a tint of gold it moves with the help of muscular contractions of the foot which is muscles covered in epithelial cilia and mucus. Unaware that it is filmed the snail crawls with its tentacles spread out. The eyes of this gastropod are positioned on top of the two tentacles. The body of the snail will recede into the shell if threatened. These snails are found in agricultural fields and in plants and is a pest in gardens.
