Long-tailed Broadbill camouflaged in green cover at wildfilmsindia bird sanctuary around Mussoorie Helmet bird is what birders have begun to call this cutie. Sitting among the leaves at our stream and then pecking at insects and flying up into our walnut tree grove is what this Broadbill does on a summer's day, amid the Grey-headed Flycatchers and White-browed Blue Flycatchers in our valley. Long-tailed Broadbill is a rarely-seen bird in Garhwal, as it is more of an eastern Himalayan species. It wags its tail while sitting on a pine tree at our wildfilmsindia conservation lands in Uttarakhand. A Broadbill flicks its blue-edged tail up and down, rapidly and vertically!
