Rengma Naga tribe performs an indigenous game known as Teme Tenyu Keten during the Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage village, Nagaland. According to the local traditions, the Rengmas and the Lothas were once part of a single tribe. There are also oral records of a mighty struggle between the combined Rengma villages, and the Lotha village of Phiro. For the Rengmas, ngadais the mother of all festivals. Aptly, the mother of each household has to taste the newly harvested grains during this yearender festival before anyone else does. As winter slowly penetrates the hilly state of Nagaland, in North East India, a festive mood seeps into the valleys. There is a buzz in the air. This is the sound of Nagaland preparing for the Hornbill Festival held in the first week of December every year. The
