Rengma Naga tribe showcasing a folk dance called Rengma Dah during the Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage village, Nagaland. This is a Rengma folk dance usually performed by menfolk. It is popularly performed during Ngada festival and other special occasions. As is evident today, this was also traditionally performed using a unique traditional drum and other instruments . The dancers wear the warriors' garb donned during warfare. The movement and footwork of the dancers mimic the bravery, strength and agility of the village braves while facing the enemy. As winter slowly penetrates the hilly state of Nagaland, in North East India, a festive mood seeps into the valleys. There is a buzz in the air.
