Earlier, one had to wait in long queues to get through the infamous Mohand tunnel that took you past the Shri Ma Dat Kali Mandir where pilgrims and tourists would stop and block up the road. Now that a second two-way tunnel has been created (at the cost of the mountainside and some forest, unfortunately), traffic flow is smooth and access to Dehradun much quicker than earlier, while driving through Rajaji National Park.
