Negotiating the curvy roads of Dehra dun can be an occasional joy, but its mostly a nightmare now, what with the burgeoning traffic, tight roads and multiple new commercial establishments and malls, causing traffic jams and poorly parked vehicles. The Dehradun of yore with its basmati chaval fields is a thing of the part, clearly! The Garhi and cantonment, FRI and Canal Road are still not so bad, in terms of traffic flow and density. Much dense tree cover remains yet in the older parts of Dehra town... nope, city!
