Jaonli peak lies on the border of Uttarkashi and Tehri Garhwal districts. Jaonli peak stands at a moderate height of 21,800 feet. Jaonli is a majestic peak which lies at the south of the Gangotri group of mountains in the watershed between the Jaonli and Khatling glaciers in Uttaranchal. This lofty peak is situated at an altitude of 6,632 m above mean sea level. Jaonli Peak, the trekker’s delight, was first ascended by members from the famous Indian public institution, the Doon School, under the leadership of educationist and mountaineer Hari Dang.
