Amitabh Bachchan: The story was inspired by the reports in newspapers about the prisoners of war in 1971 who were still in Pakistani jails. Getting inspiration from these accounts, the film was created. The film is titled 'Deewaar'. I played role of an Army Officer, was in the charge of that commission during the war. Now I am a prisoner in a Pakistani jail. Together, we plan to escape from Pakistan, we face various challenges, some external forces and some internal issues, from the authorities, this makes our mission difficult and this is the summary of the story. Witness our outfit in promos and trailers in which we use only single outfit for the whole movie.
