The arduous monsoon time Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra that culminates in the Roopkund trek. The tarn of Rupkund lies at a high altitude, in the shadow of Nanda Devi, and is the target of the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra that takes place once every twelve years. Several skulls, bones and skeletons can be seen by the side of this Himalayan tarn, a mystery that has been must speculated upon but not cracked... Oh, Jai bhola nath ki, is the chant doing the rounds of the pilgrims. Are these the remains of General Zorawar Singh's army - felled by the Deadly Nightshade or Belladonna plant, a large gathering of pilgrims killed in an avalanche or rockfall, or something else?
