From Ganesh Chaturthi, the day when the elephant god is made to settle in the house, till the 11th day when he is submerged into water, the family worships to him every day. The special sweet for the festival is called 'Modak', offered to the god during prayer. The streets of Pune are full of devotees, enjoying and praying to their gods at the same time.
