Located in Nepal, Pokhara is located to the west of Kathmandu. This popular tourist destination offers beautiful scenery, plenty of things to see and a host of museums, eateries and shops to explore. The best way to explore Nepal is on foot going through the markets based on the lakeside. If you like blending in with the locals, outdoor markets sell everything from cameras and film to fresh fruits and vegetables and whisky. Be sure to take a peek in the side stalls for textiles including handmade rugs and blankets. The Chital market sells everything produced in the villages near Pokhara. You can also find a musical instrument shop with Nepali instruments for the music lover.
