The flood in Bhagamandala caused severe inconvenience to the local residents. There is four-foot deep water on Madikeri-Bhagamandala Road. As a result, the movement of buses and autorickshaws was suspended. Rafting boats were used to ferry local residents and devotees on the waterlogged Bhagamandala-Ayyangeri Road. The residents of Chettimani, Cherambane, and Tannimani were affected by the flood. The residents had to cross the flood water even to reach hospital in case of emergency. Foodgrains could not be taken home when it flooded. The only solution to the flood was an over-bridge, for the residents.
