This tall and scrawny leggy lass was just born to its mother out of camouflaged eggs laid out in the sun at 55 Celcius to a pair of Red wattled Lapwing ground-nesting birds at the Wilderness Orchard in Delhi, on 20 June 2024. Everything is new to these young birds - the world is hot, bright and dangerous, all at once. They follow their mum's instructions on instinct.
