Holi traditions in Phalen, featuring the famous Holika Dahan rituals associated with Bhakt Prahlad. Centuries-old Holi celebrations of Phalen village, locally known as Prahlad Nagari due to its association with the legend of Bhakt Prahlad. The scene features the Prahlad Temple complex and a massive Holika pyre constructed from wood and thousands of cow dung cakes, prepared for the traditional Holika Dahan ceremony. Phalen is internationally known for its unique ritual in which a local priest, known as a Panda, walks through the blazing bonfire during the celebration, symbolising devotion, faith, and the triumph of good over evil. Large crowds gather around the ceremonial grounds wearing colourful traditional attire, including turbans and festive clothing, while decorated sticks and ritual
