That dry crackly chapati may not be enough for the dietary needs of this young and growing Indian child, and his need for a healthy and balanced diet. This Indian child in a north Indian village eats his chappati / chapatti out of a thali, while flies sit on his legs, and village elders mill around in the courtyard of his house. He drinks water from a metal glass. Nutrition remains a major issue for infants and young Indians in rural parts of India.
