The draw of a free meal is a strong and powerful imperative when the stomach is empty and the wallet even emptier. Free food is distributed on a road side in Delhi, as the homeless, hungry or plain poor land up for a free meal. That is something such as a free meal, in India, clearly! Covid19 norms being flouted openly as crowds of mostly non-masked people line up for free food on a Meerut roadside. Charity that could go awry by way of becoming a super spreader, Kumbh-Mela style! A nice philanthropic gesture, nonetheless. NGO distributing food in pandemic (dal - chawal) in the streets of Meerut for poor people, as we can see there is a long queue for food, people and even kids standing in a queue without wearing masks and not maintaining social distance.
