" I was arrested on 22 october, then they brought me to Banda (UP) including 12 MP's. 20,00 people were arrested. The government could not even provide a cup of tea. The people of Banda arranged everything including food, chai... The day I heard the news, I was a little repenting that I could not reach Ayodhya on 30th as I took an oath that I will be present. When I could not come here, I was so upset and crying in my heart". Uma Bharti (born 3 May 1959) is an Indian politician and Cabinet Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation in the Union Government of India.
